Derby Station on 26th May 2010
Whilst my Brother was collecting a massive pile of Lego to add to his collection, I made an impromptu visit to the station in Derby. Being a weekday I would have expected to have seen a few freights, but I only saw "East Midlands Trains" class 222s on Sheffield and St Pancras services and Class 170 DMUs on "Cross Country" trains. "Voyager" trains were also running on "Cross Country" services to the South West, Reading and the North East. Local services were in the hands of DMU Classes 153, 156 and 158 on the further afield destinations. This location is a far cry from when I first visited in the 1970s. in fact this was a Class 222 spotters paradise, But I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read, and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually.. Many thanks to all subscribers and for the likes, also to all those viewers whom over the years, have kindly shown an interest and appreciation in my material.
