Matts Trains explores the West London and North London line using a super off peak day travelcard

This was a random unplanned trip but all worked out well in the end, with the news this week that the one day travelcard is staying I thought I would explore parts of the London Overground network and just wing it as I went along !

For the price of £19.45 this includes an off-peak return from London plus as much tube, train, bus and overground travel too. Makes sense to use it however the one downside is that you are limited to timed trains my train left my local station at 1029 and I left London at 1604 and arrived back by 1800 a bit delayed though.

Clapham - Kensington Olympia London Overground
Kensington Olympia - Willesden Junction London Overground
Willesden Junction - Gospel Oak London Overground
Gospel Oak - Harringay Green Lanes London Overground
Harringay - Finsbury Park - Great Northern
Finsbury Park - East Croydon Thameslink
East Croydon - Home Southern

You will see services from London Overground, Southern, GBRF, Freightliner, DB, LNER, LUMO,Grand Central, Hull Trains, Great Northern and Thameslink.

Even saw two RHTTs operated by Gbrf using class 57s captured at Gatwick Airport on a Tonbridge West Yard circuit.and class 69s captured at Gospel Oak on the Broxbourne circuit.

All in all a good day out wsn;t sure what it would of brought but with a bit of randomness and no plan it went very well.
