On a visit to see a dear old friend, who lives in Margate, I called in at Ashford International Station, a location I had not visited for many years. The mainstay of EMU's were in South Eastern livery and varied from Classes 375, 465 and the South East High Speed Class 395, looking very sleek and speeding along the HS Route to and from Ashford and London St Pancras. I captured on video a "Stobart Rail" Class 92 from Dollands Moor, 92017 named affectionately as "Bart the Engine". A Class 171 DMU runs into the station off the Hastings branch. A couple of Steam Specials are also seen with Locomotives 60163 "Tornado" and shortly after 34067 "Tangmere", which seemed to be doing the rounds that particular month. On my return from Kent I called in again on the 13th and filmed from a different perspective, a couple of Eurostar services running through on the HS Line at speed running between France/Belgium and the UK. All very spectacular. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
