Network Rail Test Train at Manningtree, with others.....26th April 2024

An hour or so of trains at Manningtree on the evening of 26th April 2024, the main reason to be there was the passing of the Network Rail Structure Recording Train working as 1Q99 with 37610 & 37607. 37610 is currently carrying an approximation of a late BR era livery with 37607 carrying HNRC orange livery.

Maybe of interest to a really small number of viewers, electric trains heading north toward Ipswich tend to create an arc as they cross the bridge over the River Stour, probably there is a neutral section at that point. 745s always seem to create a larger arc than other trains.

745 001 with 1P70 22:30 London Liverpool St to Norwich (23:30, on time)

720 117 with 2A54 23:35 Manningtree to Harwich Town (23:35, on time)

37 607 leading + NR Recording Train + 37610 trailing with 1Q99 (booked pass 23:38, actual 23:37)

755 419 + 755 422 with 5Y84 23:30 Colchester Depot to Ipswich (booked pass 23:44, actual 23:40)
