Didcot Parkway Station
2nd June 2012
On a dreadfully wet early morning at Didcot Parkway, sheltering from the elements, getting on film Pathfinder Tours The 'York Flyer' with 'Deltic' 55022/D9000 'ROYAL SCOTS GREY', seeing the Locomotive shunt her train through the yard and into the full with waiting passengers platform. Departing around 06.32 for York via Birmingham New Street and Manchester Victoria. The light deteriated quite dramatically, but I did witness a Freightliner pass on the mainline and a few First Great Western HST's, plus a 'Voyager' on the Didcot Avoider, heading North. The usual Class 165/166 'Turbos' are seen on more local work. Maybe if the weather had not been so bad I would have stayed a little longer, but that's the UK Summer for you....!
