Avanti West Coast have started to refurbish their entire fixty-strong fleet of Class 390 Pendolino Trains. The first one is already in service, but I was invited up to the Alstom Depot in Widnes, Chesire to see the work in progress and one of the new units up close and learn about what's changed.
