Rare Diesel Action at South Devon Railway Autumn Diesel Gala. 07/11/25
Class 25 25262 Class 33 33002 'Sea King' were seen supporting the visiting locos with 47715 supplying some extra Sulzer action. Supported by 04 shunters D2246 and D2271 working shuttles to and from Totnes Riverside. After last year's successful diesel gala, the railway decided to upgrade to a two day event with DCR once again supplying their motive power in the form of x2 Class 56s making a rare appearance in Devon. 47715 'Rail Engineering Solutions / Quality Assured' was also visiting from the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway wearing its new RES/ Virgin livery.
It was good to see the SDR hosting the Autumn Diesel Gala once again drawing a close to the heritage railway scene after the 200th year of the modern railway. Thanks for watching.
