35028 at Virginia Water + Reigate Station
18th January 2013
Welcome to a New Year ... 2013
I kicked off the new year with my new replacement camera and a day following the British Pullman's (VSOE) 'The Golden Age of Travel' Round dinner excursion from London Victoria to Shalford and 'The North Downs' via Redhill returning to the Capital. In rather wintry conditions I battled my way on the roads to Virginia Water Station to capture on video this special train, and then after tackling the Notorious M25 snow covered Motorway to Reigate Station. Making good time I managed to again video the same train as she stormed through the Station and rattling the crossing by the old Signalbox. A few Thames Turbo's and Class 377' s are seen plus a 'Juniper' Unit at Virginia Water. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read, and greatly appreciated. Many thanks to all subscribers and for the likes, also to all those viewers whom over the years, have kindly shown an interest and appreciation in my material. This video captures a British Railways special train, likely the British Pullman's 'The Golden Age of Travel' Round dinner excursion, at Virginia Water and Reigate stations in early 2013. The footage includes the train passing through these locations, along with appearances by Thames Turbo units, Class 377 trains, and a Juniper unit. The video provides a nostalgic look at rail travel from that period, shot under wintry conditions and featuring scenes of the train's movement through the stations.
