On yet another very wet and dark day, I visited the beautiful Sydney Gardens in the Roman City of Bath. Sheltering from the appalling weather and light conditions I witnessed DMU Classes 150, and 158s on their regular passenger duties to/from Bristol and the West and SWT Class 159's on the Portsmouth/Bristol/Cardiff runs. A Freightliner Class 66 runs passed with a Network Rail Train most likely heading for Westbury Yard. FGW HST's were still on the Bristol and Weston Super mare/London Paddington route and are seen in this video. In addition to these, Steam Dreams ran The Cathedrals Express from Southend Central to Bristol Temple Meads and return with Steam Locomotive 35028 'Clan Line' and at the rear of the train Diesel Locomotive 67006 'Royal Sovereign'. I missed the outward leg, but did capture on film the return. I hope this video takes you back to the period with fond memories.
