Lincoln Central Station on 2nd November 1992
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Lincoln Central on my travels around the area taken on 2nd November 1992. Many local services still in the hands of 1st gen DMUs but not for much longer as one can see a high input of class 2nd gen 153s. Still some freight passes through and an early morning HST from Cleethorpes to King's Cross calls. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
It features a mix of first and second generation diesel multiple units, freight movements, and an early morning High Speed Train service from Cleethorpes to King's Cross. The footage provides a nostalgic look at railway activity in the region, highlighting the transition period in rail technology and operations.
