Riding the Severn Valley Railway featuring 1450 and 813 double header services
14xx 1450 and recently restored Hudswell Clarke saddle tank engine, painted as Great Western 813, were in charge of the first departure of the day and we were in fine form. 813 was originally built in 1900, for the Port Talbot Railway, making it the oldest operational locomotive on the Severn Valley Railway.
We also enjoy Pannier tank 7714 and BR large logo livery class 50, 50033 Glorious, on passenger services and a lovely 3 car DMU set in BR Green livery.
We see action at Kidderminster, Highley and Bridgnorth and other interesting locations along the line with plenty of different locomotives to view throughout the entire length of the railway.
We hope you enjoy our coverage of this very enjoyable day out.
Among the highlights are the 1450 and 813 double header services, with 813 being an original 1900 Hudswell Clarke saddle tank engine. The footage includes appearances by Pannier tank 7714, BR large logo class 50 50033 Glorious, and a three-car DMU set in BR Green livery. The journey covers several locations along the line, including Kidderminster, Highley, Bridgnorth, and others.
