We managed to dodge the showers and there was lots to see around the site, from examples of Brunel’s broad gauge railway design, loads railway memorabilia and the impressive engine sheds, as well as glimpse at how some of the new build locomotive projects are taking shape and we were even treated to an impromptu flyover from Hawker Hurricane Mk 1 R4118 which was displaying at the nearby Abingdon Air & Country Show!
