European Railways in the 1990s A Journey through the Brenner Pass on board EC 87 (Austria + Italy)
A Journey through the Brenner Pass on board EC 87 (Austria + Italy)
13.28 EC 87 Innsbruck - Brenner - Forteza - (Venice)
20th May 1997
My family and I boarded this service at Innsbruck Hbf and travelled through the Brenner Pass and South, passing through Colle Isarco and arriving in the small town of Forteza, where we alighted to visit the town. Then we were to head back to Innsbruck an hour or so later. The views out of the window on both sides were stunning and so beautiful capturing much of what the Tyrol/Tirol region has to offer. The train was a luxurious 16 carriages in length and offered many facilities on board, plus the further luxury of compartments. Sit back and relax while the video rolls (Don't mind the family, they were on very good behaviour).
I hope this series will appeal to the BR enthusiast as well as the European enthusiasts and again feel free to comment on any material or subscribe and like to the channel to help support it's growing popularity. It may not always be possible to answer every comment or question, especially if it is not in English, but every comment is read and greatly appreciated. I do hope this video entertains and evokes old fond memories of the European Railway Scene of the era.
