Day Trip to Wigan by Avanti Settle Carlisle Shuttle 2 Jan 26

My opportunity to travel on one of Avanti's Settle Carlisle line shuttles to Wigan was on 2nd January. I took the 8:15 train south and returned on the 11:55 north, thus travelling both ways in daylight. Whilst at Wigan I spent an hour filming some of the 'action', what of it there was with the WCML closed north of Faringdon Junction and into Preston. I still got to see a 'BinLiner' waste train.
Bitterly cold and clear skies at the very exposed Wigan North Western station.
