DRS Class 68 & 88s on the Crewe avoiding lines - 3/11/23

Channel: HSTHoward
Player
Description
This location used to be a good vantage point for freight passing along the avoiding lines, which avoid passing through Crewe station. Sadly now a big fence has been erected making recording difficult and of course bushes are now growing in the way!

Either way, two DRS moves within a short period of time are seen.

Firstly it’s 88006 working from Mossend to Daventry, shortly followed by 68009 + 68034 working light engine from Carlisle - Crewe Gresty Bridge.

Filmed on the 3rd of November 2023.

Enjoy!
