First up, on the 'Malverns Line' which runs between Worcester and Hereford we see 37605/610 on its final approach towards Hereford working 1Q14 Derby - Cheltenham, running a mere 35 late as the train was waiting for a route conductor.But after a quick trip over to see a steam ECS and a rush return to a spot on this line I started to wait, and wait and wait. The train had lost its path and after a 2 1/2 hour wait I decided to bail and go home. On arrival at home I saw 37057 was allocated 0Z37 Canton to Hereford, this is then seen as arriving into Hereford at 18:43. The loco then worked wrong line to pick up '1Q14' drew it out into Hereford station and then returned the ensemble to the diesel sidings. And a few minutes later a path was in for 37057 to return to Canton again running as 0Z37. Question is why, two locos at Hereford and surely one could have piloted If it had failed, an interesting evening entertainment that's for sure.
