Bit of SNOW & FREIGHT Trains… Borderlands Line During December 2025 ‘Tata Steel’ - ‘Hanson Cement’
Few Captures of the freight on the local Borderlands Line between Wrexham General and Bidston during the month of December 2025.
Steel coils are brought up from Margam in South Wales to the British Steel plant in Shotton in North Wales for further process. Working is 6M76 Margam Tc to Dee Marsh Sidings & Return 6V75 Dee Marsh Sidings to Margam Tc Normally runs every day apart from Sundays. Regular traction now regeared DB Cargo 66’6s - 66652, 66658, 66654 sighted this month !!
Cement is taken down to Avonmouth from the Pen y Ffordd plant I gather for export. This is scheduled to run every Sunday Tuesday & Thursday. Working is 6V41 Pen y Ffordd Cement to Avonmouth Hanson Sidings & 6M42 Avonmouth Hanson Sidings to Pen y Ffordd Cement empties running every Monday Wednesday & Friday. Only one change early in the month 66720 was replaced by 66755
Tractors 37405 & 37607 operated the 1Q41 this month.
