Trains at Petersfield, PDL - 19th June 2025
On Thursday 19th June on another warm summer’s day, I went to Petersfield which is on Portsmouth Direct Line.
I haven’t been at this station for at lest 5 years, since before things with Covid kicked off.
It’s quite lovely station, do like the little building which gives a station a nice touch.
Booking hall area is quite nice, even there is a book shelf for you to read while waiting for a train.
Views are really good, my most favourite would be on the footbridge as it oversees the station, and the signal box which I always find intriguing and brings the nostalgia of old BR days, the view from Platform 1 is decent as you have long line looking that towards London & Portsmouth line is curved with another footbridge.
Quite enjoyable day, even though there isn’t many trains on show but nice to go somewhere a bit different for a change.
Trains you will only see are Desiro Class 450, 444.
