Over the last weekend of March, DFR held their first spring steam gala. Starting the operating season a bit differently to normal, the event showcased a busy timetable with two of the homefleet locos and Judy. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the DFR's control, GER No. 229 and Willy the Well Tank were withdrawn from the event at short notice. Credit to the team at DFR for amending the timetable in such a short space of time.

Locos featured were Pannier 9681, Peckett & Sons Works No. 2147 'Uskmouth 1" and Bagnall No. 2572 'Judy' from the Bodmin and Wenford Railway.
