Tuesday and the second full day of departures from Alstom works following the Great Gathering at Derby today as a variety of locomotives and rolling stock left Alstom Works, and Tuesday didn't disappoint.

Some truly memorable movements through the station during the course of the day, a real highlight being 35018 ‘British India Line’ + 46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’ + 45699 ‘Galatea’ (masquerading as 45627 ‘Sierra Leone’) + 44932 on working 5Z36 Derby Litchurch Lane - Carnforth Steamtown, quite something to see on the mainline in 2025! We also had HSTs, Class 37s, unit drags, light engines, convoys and more as normality slowly resumes and locomotives and rolling stock head home after one memorable event!
