Saturday 28th March 2009, saw Pathfinder Railtours run from Nottingham to South Wales with the 'Cwm and Go(ne)' Railtour. I believe this was booked to be a tour of lasts, including that of the EWS 37, and 60 on a railtour at that time, i'm sure someone may know, but for a fact it was expected to be the last passenger train the Machen. Orignally the tour was planned to head to Cwmbargoed too. First up we see 37401 bringing the train in from Nottingham working to Margam, from where 60024 took the train up the Tondu branch, where we caught it at Tondu. A quick zip round to Ebbw Jnc and we see 37401 taking the train towards Machen on the Ebbw Vale line. 60024 then drew the train round to Uskmouth powerstation, seen at the tunnels at Newport, for then to see 08567 draw the train back into Newport ready for the jaunt back to Nottingham.
