The all new Stadler Class 93 Bi-Mode Locomotive made its debut appearance at Crewe in early January 2024 for testing and commissioning based out of Crewe South Yard. Rail Operations Group have 30 of these on order sporting the revised ROG colours, and they will be used for unit drags and other ad-hoc work, eventually replacing the ageing Class 37 locomotives.

The working was 6Q42 Worksop Up Yard to Crewe South Yard and these locomotives will be tested on the West Coast Mainline based out of Crewe prior to being introduced into service based at Derby R.T.C. where Rail Operations Group have their headquarters by the station.
