Following the visit of a Class 47 and Class 57 to Taunton last Saturday on the English Riviera, two more examples of each class passed through Taunton today on separate moves! We firstly see 57312 + 57305 working the 5Z50 Penzance - Reading Traincare Depot with the GWR Sleeper stock, and later in the afternoon we see WCRC 47812 + 47802 working a rake of ex GWR Mk3s with BR Mk2 barrier coaches on the 5Z29 Laira T & R.S.M.D - Carnforth.

We also see GWR new build Saint 2999 'Lady of Legend' which was in action at the West Somerset Railway today, departing with the 16.40 Bishops Lydeard - Minehead! | 20.05.2025
