'Severe Wheel Flats' 37521 Dragging LSL Steam Tour, 37218 first mainline run in new livery and much
Whilst out getting 37218 on its return at Tram Inn, news came in of severe wheel flats one of the coaching stock of the railtour... Almost over 2 hours after it left, I caught up with the train only a few miles after I last saw it. The noisy ensemble is seen passing me at Dinmore tunnel and Leominster bypass, the second to last coach sounding like it has square wheels!
After dumping the errant coach in Leominster sidings, and lots of shunting.. the train is well on its way again, seen blasting past Woofferton. Not a bad day seeing this tour so many times!
Going on from here we see the last month or so workings I have managed to capture in the local area, including 37521 the week previous with Braunton at Ludlow, various DRS 37 route learners, 37418 with Caroline and GBRf workings on the Dee Marsh Steel traffic.
Please note photo taken of 37218 for video thumbnail is seen in the bay siding at Hereford, no video was taken at this point.
Thank you very much for watching.
A railtour featuring locomotives 37521 and 70000 Britannia, along with diesel unit 37218, is shown operating in the Welsh Marches region. The footage captures the train's journey from Slough through Hereford, where 37218 is seen in its new DRS livery. The tour encounters an issue when severe wheel flats develop on one of the coaching stock units, leading to a delay and the affected coach being removed at Leominster. The video also shows various movements of the train around Hereford before the incident occurs.
