Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action! An hours’ time at Darlington station on the East Coast Mainline after a couple of years; main purpose was to capture both the Midland Pullman which was working the ‘Lord Of The Isles Pullman’ and ‘The Great Britain XVIII’ on its last leg of its 2026 tour, and was set to be hauled by 34028 ‘Eddystone’.
However, the steamer was going to haul the tour from York instead of the tour’s departure station of Newcastle, which is why you’ll see the WCR 47 instead; but I did get to see the steamer later at York as it was leaving for London Euston. Also, an air leak erupted onboard the Pullman train, so that why you see leaving York as well instead of seeing it race through during my time at Darlington. Hopefully, this doesn’t bother you all.
Other than all of that, there was standard intercity & commuter services passing through, info displayed on each service was taken from RealTimeTrains. Hope you all enjoy this!
