Midlander Meet Up | Keighley & Worth Valley Railway - Steam Gala 2025 - 21-22/03/25
With a home fleet already strong with locomotives from the LMS, LNWR and Lancashire & Yorkshire, the addition of guests LMS 3F Jinty 16440, LMS 8F 48305 and LMS Black Five 44871 provided a total of seven engines of the Midland Region in operation throughout the weekend. Visitors to the gala also had the chance to enjoy a taste of the Pyrenees, with Sentinel No.7232 'Ann' and Avonside No.1973 'Dora' operating shuttles and brake van rides up Keighley Bank.
In addition to the variety of Midland engines in service, the Exhibition Shed at Oxenhope currently houses four more theme fitting engines, in the form of Lancashire & Yorkshire Pug 51241, Midland Railway 4F 43924, and the railway's own 3F Jinty and 8F, 47279 & 48431 respectively.
