LMS Jubilee Class 45596 'Bahamas' returns to the North under her own power for the first time since 1997, following a major overhaul at Tyseley since 2013. Following a number of issues from test runs in the Tyseley area, this movement had been delayed by a number of weeks, until 45596 was deemed fit to run on the mainline. The loco will now be based at Haworth Shed on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for the next few months, and is expected to run two return trips across the Settle and Carlisle railway, as well as star at the KWVR's Spring Steam Gala. 45596 'Bahamas' is one of four survivors of the Jubilee Class, and the only preserved example with an experimental double chimney, originally fitted to the loco in 1961.
