EMR 43102 'The Journey Shrinker' - InterCity Swallow HST - 25/02/21

With the East Midlands Railway HST sets due to retire in May, 43102 (Previously 43302) recently received a full repaint into InterCity Swallow livery, along with the name 'The Journey Shrinker'. Class 43 HST powercar 43102 is notable for holding the world speed record for fastest diesel locomotive, having achieved a top speed of 148.5mph between Darlington and York on 1st November 1987, along with 43159 on the rear. Her speed record means she will enter the national collection, joining the first production class 43, 43002 'Sir Kenneth Grange'.

This video also sees the appearance of a number of other class 43s, with 43274 running with the celebrity powercar, 43251 and 43320 also running with EMR and finally a surprise appearance of DATS 43054 and 43066.
