44 Pair Reunited | Peak Rail - Twin Peaks Diesel Gala - 12/04/25
Whilst both former Toton shed mates have previously met in 2014 at the Derby Etches Park Open Day, this weekend marked the first occasion in preservation that both locomotives operated on the same line, with 44004 'Great Gable' visiting the line from the Midland Railway, Butterley to join Rowsley based D8 'Penyghent'. The event at Peak Rail also saw the appearance of Heritage Shunters Trust's BR Class 09001 in EWS livery, and the recently acquired Class 108 DMU.
