Description
The 7th August 1960 saw the Bluebell Railway run their first service as a preserved railway, running between Sheffield Park and Bluebell Halt, just south of Horsted Keynes Station. 65 years on, the railway has grown, with trains now running to East Grinstead, with the line becoming one of the most well known heritage railways in the country.

The railway's 65th Anniversary gala would see the complete operational steam fleet running trains, with Horsted Keynes station becoming a hive of activity. At Sheffield Park, the railway's arguably most famous resident, LBSCR A1X Terrier No.55 'Stepney', was on display ahead of her move for an upcoming open day event at Southeastern's depot in Ashford, with the 0-6-0T making appearances alongside sister Terrier No.72 'Fenchurch' both in the yard and Sheffield Park station during the event.

The weekend would culminate with a cavalcade of locomotives through Horsted Keynes station, with a large crowd of onlookers amassing to view the spectacle. Leading the cavalcade was newly completed new build LBSCR H2 Atlantic 32424 'Beachy Head', followed by BR Standard 5MT 73082 'Camelot', SR Bulleid Battle of Britain Class 34059 'Sir Archibald Sinclair', SECR O1 Class No.85, British Rail Class 33 33108, BR Standard 4MT Tank 80151 & LBSCR A1X Terrier No.72 'Fenchurch'.
