To mark this occasion, LNER ran a special four day farewell tour, made extra special by a pair of Class 43 powercars, 43206 and 43312 (renumbered to 43006 and 43112), repainted into their original BR Blue and Grey livery, with a full set of Mk3 coaches to match. Here we see the train at York and Leeds, at the end of the tour's 3rd day, with large crowds of enthusiasts and the general public coming to catch a final glimpse of the historic Intercity 125.
