A LNER A4 60009 'Union of South Africa' is seen during what is likely her final mainline appearance, following the end of her mainline ticket earlier in the year. The locomotive was transported from York to the East Lancashire Railway by West Coast Railways 37706. It had been stored at the Railway Museum in York since March, with movement delayed due to lockdown restrictions. The A4 will complete its remaining boiler ticket at the East Lancashire Railway before being retired from steam, as requested by its owner, John Cameron.
Fishplate has identified 3 locomotives in this video. We’ve also matched 1 headcode and 4 operators . Create a free account to see where they appear, unlock timestamps and locations, and view the full breakdown.
