A steam locomotive, identified as Bulleid Merchant Navy 35018 'British India Line', is seen operating on a special tour from Carnforth to Scarborough. The journey encountered significant delays due to wheelslip and brake issues affecting some of the Mk1 stock. The locomotive struggled to depart York's Platform 4, and additional movements at Scarborough were required to remove the problematic coach. Originally planned to include LMS Jubilee 45562 'Alberta', the tour was altered due to crew unavailability. The event took place under British Railways and West Coast Railways operations across locations including The Lakes, York, Carnforth, and Scarborough.
