Keighley & Worth Valley Railway - Diesel Gala - 20-21/06/25
Whilst 50021 appeared at last year's Diesel Gala, a freshly repainted 55009 makes her Keighley debut, following classmate 55019 'Royal Highland Fusilier' previous visit to the line during the 50th anniversary gala in 2018.
47 duo 47714 and 47715 provided two of British Rail's sectorised liveries, with 47714 sporting a fresh repaint into Rail Express Systems red, whilst 47715 makes what's suggested as her final appearance in Network SouthEast livery ahead of an upcoming repaint. 37508 added yet another livery of the 1980s with BR Railfreight Grey, whilst a clash of the old and new was seen with Colas Rail split headcode 37057 'Barbara Arbon', present in the company's Yellow and Orange colours.
Whilst home fleet diesels 20031 and 37075 couldn't make the event, resident shunters Class 14 D9520 and prototype BR shunter D0226 'Vulcan' would be seen on shuttle services. In addition, the railway's Class 144 Pacer unit 144011 was on static display in the yard at Ingrow West.
