Description
A trio of London Transport locomotives visiting the Epping Ongar Railway, a line which itself previously formed part of the London Underground Central Line. 50 years since the end of steam on the Tube network, GWR 5700 Pannier Tank 5786 (L92) appears alongside London Transport liveried GWR 4575 Small Prairie Tank 5521 (L150) from and British Rail Class 20 20227 'Sherlock Holmes'.

The event saw freight demonstrations running at North Weald station, recreating the sight of steam worked permanent way trains on the London Underground, which lasted on the network up to 1971. Pannier Tank 5786 was one of thirteen 5700s which ran with London Transport on such trains, and is now preserved at the South Devon Railway.
