Description
A gathering of LBSCR Terriers at the Bluebell Railway, celebrating 150 years since the construction of No.72 'Fenchurch': One of the first six A1 Terriers to be built in 1872, due to return to traffic later this year. With the locomotive in her current state of overhaul on static display alongside No.55 'Stepney' at Sheffield Park, the railway welcomed the visit of two additional Terrier locomotives: No.70 'Poplar' from the Kent & East Sussex Railway, and W11 'Newport' from the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

Unfortunately, shortly after departing Sheffield Park for the day's second round trip, No.70 suffered a failure with bent connecting rods, leaving the Terrier pair at Horsted Keynes Station. W11 'Newport' shunted the coaching set into the nearby carriage sheds, with the loco unable to run solo passenger runs due to incompatible brakes. No.70 was finally moved with the assistance of the railway's Class 09 D4106, whilst W11 ran back to Sheffield Park with SECR O1 No.65.
