Two Class 153 diesel multiple units, numbered 153379 and 153384, operated by Colas Rail, were recorded running between Cambridge and Middleton Towers on 14 June 2024. The trains worked test services 2Q52 and 2Q53, departing Cambridge four minutes early and returning five minutes late respectively. During the return journey, the units passed a Greater Anglia Aventra 720546 operating service 2H42 between London Liverpool Street and Ely, stopping at Cambridge North.
