Description
A special open weekend at the Hornby WonderWorks in Margate allowed the public the rare opportunity to view the One-to-One Collection, home to numerous railway artifacts, locomotives and unique items of rolling stock, many of which from Locomotive Services Ltd. With work currently undergoing to upgrade the site allow full public access to view the collection in the future, the weekend was the first time since 2019 the One-to-One Collection has opened it's doors.

Whilst LNER A4 Class 4464 'Bittern' has since left the site pending overhaul, a number of new exhibits have taken refuge within the old Hornby factory walls. LMS Rebuilt Royal Scot 46100 'Royal Scot' is one of the latest additions, having retired from mainline service earlier in 2025. Another exciting addition since 2019 is LNER Coronation 'Beavertail' Observation Coach 1729, restored to as built condition by Railway Vehicle Preservations over the course of 13 years, completed in 2021.

A familiar artifact to many travellers in and out of London Euston is the former departure board, now installed overlooking the main mezzanine area. In the entrance hall, SECR P Class No.178 and Kerr Stuart Brazil Class No.926 'Leader', on loan from the Bluebell Railway and The Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway respectively, are surrounded by a selection of 5-Inch gauge steam locomotives, with various railway signs and nameplates mounted on the surrounding walls.
