*Friday 13th October 2000* Class 47 47709 is first seen running light engine through Hilsea heading to Portsmouth & Southsea from Eastleigh to work the 1M32 1440 Portsmouth & Southsea - Blackpool North virgin trains service which I filmed at Farlington Junction. This loco was a member of fragonset railways and I believe there was a shortage of Class 47/8 InterCity Long Range (ILRA) sector members around this time which would haul virgin trains, so this fragonset loco was was on hire to virgin trains during the unavailability issue period.
