SR Merchant Navy Class 35028 ‘Clan Line’ leads the return leg of The Portsmouth Pullman - 15/11/2025
The train is seen twice on the return leg. Starting at Hove, Clan Line opens the regulator after being signal checked, catching the attention of the regular passengers as it proceeds towards the Cliftonville Spur.
Secondly, after overtaking Clan Line during a water stop at Preston Park, we see the train as it slows down passing Burgess Hill, almost to a halt, before the signal clears and the train begins to accelerate again, with the Class 67 on the rear making an audible din under the station canopy.
