The 22651/22652 Palakkad Junction Superfast Express is a daily express train between Chennai Central and Palakkad Junction railway station operated by Southern Railways via Salem, Karur, Dindigul, Palani and Pollachi. When inaugurated, it ran between Chennai Central and Palani. Later, it was extended up to Pollachi Junction as a special train between Palani and Pollachi. In the 2017 budget it was extended up to Palakkad Junction in Kerala. The train covers a distance of 672 km(one-way) at an average speed of 57 km/h.
