One of my latest films, the end of normal HST operation at Paddington. Having had a trip down to Reading earlier in the day i came back up road with W43002 & 43198 (the first & last production power cars) the stock of which then became the last working of all, the 18.30 to Taunton which was extended to Exeter this day. Also seen are other units running in & out of Paddington-332, 345, 360 & 802. As you can see the place was heaving with people and my old spot for videoing (the old parcels platform) has a great big palisade fence all the way along but with the small camera i have nowadays i could slip it through the fence and film without it getting in the way. For the record the last four departures were :-
18.03 to Plymouth 43188+43093.
18.15 to Cheltenham 43162+43172.
18.22 to Hereford 43009+43185.
18.30 to Taunton/Exeter SD 43198+43002......
