Description
It's June 1995 and i'm chasing the loco hauled workings on the North Wales Coast service, and we see loco hauled trains in action at Crewe and Rhyl, back when Rhyl still had semaphore signalling. The 37s were having reliability issues and class 31 & 47s were helping out. Even the Inter-City West Coast Holyhead working was a MkIII set with a Waterman Railways class 47 at the front. We see the Crewe Works test train complete with a freshly overhauled un-numbered class 47, and a Pacer in original livery!
