A preserved railway vid now taken back in 1989. I was at the Great Central Railway for the Railway Vehicle Preservation's 21st Anniversary celebrations. That weekend was also a diesel gala which featured one of BR's mighty Deltics in operation thanks to the Deltic Preservation Society. D9019/55 009 Royal Highland Fusilier was in use alongside GCR based 40 106 (which never ran in BR blue and was kept in green livery until withdrawl) which had been named in preservation Atlantic Conveyer in honour of the ship lost in the Falklands conflict.
