Covid19 Lockdown Wales--Llanberis Village (Mt Snowdon) is a Ghost Town April 2020

A slightly different upload this time, a shopping trip out on Wednesday 8 April 2020 see us in Llanberis Village, the village at the foot of Mount Snowdon. It is Easter school holiday week but due to the Covid19 lockdown it is a ghost town, unlike last year's Easter time when it was just as warm and sunny and the place was heaving with people having a good time and enjoying the lovely Welsh countryside. But now almost everything is shut apart from the Spar, the One-Stop & a chemist along with The Spice of Llanberis opening for take-aways only at the weekends. We take a walk around Llanberis High Street out towards the Coed Doctor and then back along the High St past Pete's Eats, The Heights and the Padarn Lake Hotel. Along as as far as the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the Victoria Hotel, with views of the large car park opposite the Mountain Railway totally empty! We finish with views of the Padarn Lake Railway station and the empty Padarn Country Park, normally teeming with people on a warm sunny day. Let's hope we got our lives back by the summer!
