It's March 1995, a Sunday, and i'm in Newport, South Wales, to ride the Sundays only class 37 hauled Region Railways service to Liverpool Lime Street. We see a Valenta powered Inter-City 125 HST and the class 37 locomotive hauled train at Newport while in Liverpool we see a class 90 head south on an Inter-City working to London Euston, a Regional Railways class 31 release the stock i arrived on so the 37 can run round its train and we finish with a BR blue & grey class 304 slam door EMU heads south.
