It's June 1997 and i'm in Carlisle. A very busy place back then with a good variety of traffic. We see here Inter-City, Freightliner, Parcels and MGR workings using locomotive classes 31, 37, 60, 87, 90 and 325 EMU. A pair of 37s on an MGR stops for a crew change and you can see how the control air passing from the front loco to rear has a short delay on it, as the front loco shuts off the power the rear starts to power up, giving an interesting display of thrash as the heavily loaded train pulls away!
