It's August 2022 and i'm off out to see the new Barking Riverside station. We start at Barking on platform 8, a place i first videod at way back in August 1985! All the traction has changed since then, and on this upload we see class 357 & 710 EMU's on LTS & London Overground services along with class 66 hauled freight trains operated by Freightliner and GBRF. At Barking Riverside there are shots of the new station and the desolate area it stands in, the site of the old Creekmouth Power Station. Now the station has opened more housing can be built and i imagine within 5 years or so, the area will all be built on.
