British Rail-a Look at Eastern Region London Area DMU & EMU Blinds
Another look at some blinds now, this time a couple of British Rail unit blinds. The first is a DMU blind for Great Northern local services off Kings Cross plus Stratford area loclas on the Great Eastern. The second blind is an London area EMU blind as fitted to classes 302, 305, 306, 307 & 308. It covers services on the West Anglia section, Great Eastern main line plus the London, Tilbury & Southend line. Thses are both linen made blinds and probably date from the 1960s, possibly earlier for the DMU blind as it shows Loughton and Epping which was by then the LT Central Line although BR still ran some early morning trains via the connection at Leyton.
