Another Manchester area video now, from 30 years ago in January 1991. We see the unique British Rail Class 504 3rd rail side contact EMUs at work in their dying days. Not long after i filmed this the service was cut back to run from Bury to Crumpsall while work started at Victoria to convert the line to Metrolink tram operation. Here we see them at Bury, Besses-o'-th'-Barn and Victoria. At Victoria, we see a pair of 37s trundle through with a freight working from Peak Forest.
